Welcome
to the SFOR7
On-Line Museum!
In March of 2000, the
soldiers comprising SFOR7 began their peacekeeping
mission in the war-torn Balkans.
Stabilization Force
Seven immediately made the military history
books. SFOR7 marked the first time the National
Guard (49th Armored Division) assumed command and
control of the multinational peacekeeping forces in
Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Over the next seven
months, SFOR7 set new standards for the Bosnia
mission.
When the 49th AD
turned authority over to the 3rd Infantry Division of
SFOR 8, I decided there was too much history to leave
behind.
Here, in the SFOR 7
On-Line Museum, I've collected a collection of
articles, images and memories from our time in the
Balkans.
Keep checking
back. More exhibits will be added from time to
time.
