A. Parker Scott Executive Officer D Co, 629th MI Bn I'm glad someone is compiling information on SFOR-7! The following attachment is something I wrote for the Colorado State University Alumni magazine. Both General Halverson and I attended that school. It may be interesting for your project, as it encapsulates many of my observations, and a little bit of my experience from Bosnia. |

Timothy D. Roberge S4 3/3 Armored Cavalry Regiment I was stationed on Camp Dobol, in Kalesjia, Bosnia-Herzegovina from 24 Fed 00 - 27 sep 00. Memories: I worked as the NCOIC of the S4 Logstics Operations for the squadron. I served with 1LT Jeffrey Reamer, S4 OIC, and several supply sergeants. We supplied the entire base camp with 650 beds - replacing the cots that were previously used. We also fielded the squadron with 30 upgraded computer systems during our final days in country.

Peter B. Tingstrom HHT 4/3 ACR Memories: It was a pleasure serving side by side with the 49th Aviation Brigade Combat Team and the 49th Armor Division. We accomplished and learned so much from this historical operation. I hope to stay in touch and continue to serve with all of you in the future. Lone Star, Alamo, Brave Rifles! Longknife 04 |

Stella Blaser TF 149th PSB Memories: My most vivid memories of SFOR7 are of the soldiers. I worked at Camp McGovern and provided support to the soldiers there. I saw these soldiers work hard to accomplish the mission. I saw soldiers dedicated and motivated, not what the media typically portrays. So as SFOR7 comes to a close we can not forget the soldiers played a tremendous part in it's success |

| LTC Jerry Mendez HHC, 49th AD Information Operations Memories: The I.O. has worked diligently at accomplishing all of its missions. We have succeed because we subscribe to the adage, "There is no limit to what a man can accomplish if he doesn't care who gets the credit." - Mark Twain Teamwork, coordination and communication are the keys to success. |

Agent Glenn Brown 1149 CID Memories: I think about all of the time that the citizen-soldiers of SFOR 7 put in above and beyond their daily work to make this happen. I believe that the sacrifice of not only a deployment, but also the additional demands of training while still working in another career speaks volumes about dedication and commitment. |

R. Simms RHHT 3d ACR/HHC, 49th AD Memories: It was such an enjoyment to come on this deployment and meet so many wonderful friends. I've had a wonderful time. Let's just hope that we all can keep in contact and continue this circle of friends. I wish everyone luck as each of us depart for home station very soon. And guess what, no more guard duty on West Gate or the OPs. |

Frank Perales 49th Aviation Brigade Combat Team Memories: The flight crewmembers of the 49th ABCT performed their duties in an Outstanding manner. Over 12,000 flight hours were flown in seven months without a Class A or B Aviation Accident. The mechanics kept the aircraft mission ready. The vehicle drivers performed in an exemplary manner. No serious accidents! The support troops did their duty. This enabled the soldiers on the line to do theirs. Command set the stage and the actors (all of the soldiers in the 49th ABCT) played their roles. At the end of the Play the Producers, Directors, and Cast Members should have received a Standing Ovation for a job well done. |

Ivey M Register GS-12 BCCA - Europe District Corps of Engineers Memories: This tour will be ever in my memory. I have served as the Electrical Engineer for projects throughout TFE for 12 months. I will leave with the satisfaction that I have made a difference for others that follow. I have enjoyed my tour, but it does not matter how good or bad one is treated; There Is No Place Like Home. |

Mike Taylor HHC, 49th Armored Division Memories: I am proud to have had the opportunity to serve as a member of SFOR7. A mission such as this humbles oneself. We Americans take too many things for granted -- we are fortunate by both birth and heritage. The US is sure not perfect, but we are way ahead of whoever is in 2nd place. LONE*STAR! |

Darnell A. Jones 43d CEC 3D ACR Memories: BEEN THERE, DONE THAT! THIS WAS MY 2ND ROTATION IN BOSNIA, HOWEVER THIS WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE. I MET AN AWESOME COUPLE FROM TUZLA THAT ARE TRULY LIVING BY THEIR HEARTS AND STRIVING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND THE WORLD. IF BEING OVER HERE HAS HELPED STOP THE WAR AND ALLOW FOR THEM TO CONTINUE ON IN THEIR MISSION, IT WAS ALL WELL WORTH IT! - I WISH BLESSINGS UPON FUTURE SFOR FORCES |

Jeremy Hellbusch HHT 3/3 ACR Memories: I have many fond memories of my tour w/ SFOR7 Most to include the convoys we went on to the surrounding communities, and getting to interact w/ the locals, and learning a little bit about this rustic European culture. It was a great experience for me, and one i will truly remember my whole life. Now, if you were to ask me if I wanted to come back and do another tour, I would have to say no, as once is quite enough. All in all a very great experience. PFC Jeremy Hellbusch |

Maj. Mathew J. Brady 1042d Medical Company (Air Ambulance) Commanding
The pictures are of the 1042d Medical Company (Air Ambulance) from the Oregon National Guard. They are taken in a number of locations throughout the AO. This rotation will be remembered with great pride by all of the 59 soldiers that deployed. We maintained an OR of 97%, did 2 of our own phase's, flew 25 actual MEDEVACs, over 1500 flight hours of which 300 were under NVG's and more than 650 training missions. We are very proud to have been a part of the 49th Armor Divisions historic mission. |
